Itinerary
DAY 1 : TRANSFER AIRPORT – HOTEL
Arrival at Alejandro Velasco Ateste Airport in Cusco. A representative of the agency will be waiting for you at the departure gate to drive you to the vehicle for your transfer to your hotel. Travel time will be approximately 15 minutes, depending on local traffic conditions.
In the afternoon we will enjoy the City Tour Cusco, is a cultural and archaeological adventure, which has as its starting and ending point in the city of Cusco, along the way we will stop at archaeological sites such as Koricancha, the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Qenko the amphitheater and religious center, Tambomachay the Baths of the Inca and center of worship to the god of water and finally Puca-Pucara, the red fortress built to protect Tambomachay.
DAY 2 : SACRED VALLEY
The Sacred Valley Tour is a cultural adventure that starts and ends in the city of Cusco, along the way we will stop at different archaeological sites, we will visit Pisaq, a great place to admire the juxtaposition of Inca and Spanish architecture and its traditional market, where handicrafts and merchants of products from all over the Sacred Valley region converge to offer their products or exchange them as in times past. The ruins of Pisac was founded as a fortress to protect the empire from the Antis tribes of the western Amazon basin, the fortress of Inca Pisaq is located on top of a mountain that dominates and protects the town.
Later enjoy a delicious lunch in the wonderful town of Urubamba. In the afternoon we visit the town of Ollantaytambo, which is one of the largest Inca fortresses and sacred sites along the Urubamba Valley. The town is one of the oldest human settlements in the Americas. The sixteen massive sprawling terraces are a testament to the magnificent Inca masonry. Climb the steep stone stairs to reach the imposing fortress at the top of the mountain, about 260 steps, from where you can get a magnificent view of the valley and admire the huge monoliths that form the Temple of the Sun.
Finally we will visit Chinchero, a small Andean village located high on the windswept plains of Anta at 3762m above sea level, about 30 km from Cusco. There are beautiful views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, with the Vilcabamba mountain range and the snow-capped Salkantay dominating the western horizon. Chinchero is believed to be the mythical birthplace of the rainbow. The village consists mainly of mud brick (adobe) houses and the locals, the locals still go about their daily activities in their traditional dress.
DAY 3 : VINICUNCA OR 7 COLORS MOUNTAIN
We start the day with the pick up from your hotel (4:00 approximately), then we go to the south of Cusco passing through different towns like and until the district of Checacupé where we will visit the colonial bridge of Checa Cupe, then we take the detour that will lead us to Quesiuno (3 hours by bus) place where we will have a comfortable Andean breakfast, after our breakfast we will continue in the transport until the Control and from there we will start our walk for 1 hour and a half up the mountain and then we will ascend to the slopes of the Viñicunca hill. During the hike we will pass through trails that will change the panorama between mountains of intense colors and small streams of icy water that feed and give life to this valley, on the way we will observe Andean animals such as the llama, alpaca, finally we will arrive at an altitude of 5200 meters above sea level. Top of the mysterious mountain of 7 colors.
The Vinicunca Mountain or Mountain of 7 colors has one of the most spectacular views of the Cordillera Vilcanota. It is very close to the snow-capped Ausangate. The impressive thing is how the minerals of these rocks have formed a kind of rainbow along the route. After arriving at the viewpoint you will have 30 minutes to take pictures or just enjoy the view of the place. After that, you will start descending to have lunch in Cusipata and return to Cusco.
The tour includes breakfast and lunch buffet.
RECOMMENDATIONS

- Sleep well the day before, as the tour starts early.
- Hydrate yourself, take small sips of water on the way.
- Bring snacks, such as nuts and energy bars.
- Take pills for altitude sickness (if necessary).
- During the hike breathe hard, hold your breath for 4 to 6 seconds and then exhale, this will help you oxygenate your brain and avoid headaches.
DAY 4 : MACHUPICCHU
A representative of the agency will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby to transfer you to the train station, where you will board the tourist train to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival at the Aguas Calientes station, take the bus that will take you to the Llaqta of Machu Picchu.
Then we will start our guided tour to one of the wonders of the world, Machu Picchu is located at 2,430 meters above sea level, in the middle of a tropical mountain forest, in an extraordinarily beautiful setting. This was probably the most impressive urban creation of the entire Inca Empire; its gigantic walls, terraces and ramps seem to have been naturally cut into the rocky escarpments. The natural setting, on the eastern slopes of the Andes, surrounds the upper Amazon basin with its rich diversity of flora and fauna.
At the end of your visit to the citadel, you will board the bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will take the tourist train to Ollantaytambo station.
Upon arrival at Ollantaytambo station, you will be met by the agency representative for your transfer to Cusco.
DAY 5 : TRANSFER HOTEL – AIRPORT
The agency representative will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby to accompany you to the airport in Cusco.
